About the role

The Animal Medical and Surgical Center in Canton, GA is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Veterinarian with a passion for surgery to join their growing practice.

Responsibilities

• Perform surgeries and improve the lives of animals through surgical interventions
• Expand surgical skillset and work with a collaborative, supportive team
• Offer care for canine, feline, and exotic pets
• Provide preventative health care, including dental care and surgical extractions
• Read digital x-rays and perform laboratory services
• Maintain client/patient medical records and logs
• Communicate effectively with clients
• Use Avimark practice software for record keeping

Requirements

Experience in orthopedic surgery is a significant advantage but not required.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA accredited school
• Current license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Georgia
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Basic computer skills to use Avimark practice software

Skills

• Strong surgical skills, particularly in orthopedic surgery
• Effective communication and client relations skills
• Basic computer skills for practice management software
