About the role
We’re seeking a compassionate, motivated Veterinarian to join two well-established, community-focused animal hospitals in rural Louisiana. This flexible split position allows you to work across two clinics, with an estimated 2 days per week at each location—though we’re also open to 3 days per week if that’s a better fit for your lifestyle. Whether you’re a new graduate looking for mentorship or an experienced veterinarian seeking balance and variety, we’re happy to tailor this role to the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive veterinary care to a diverse range of animals, including dogs, cats, small pets, livestock, and small ruminants.
- Participate in routine and emergency care, including but not limited to wellness care, spays/neuters, soft tissue surgery, and wound management.
- Maintain excellent communication with clients to ensure their pets receive the best possible care.
- Collaborate with other veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to provide a seamless and efficient service.
- Adapt to a rural setting, valuing adaptability, teamwork, and a genuine love for animals over rigid checklists.
Requirements
- A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA-accredited institution.
- Current license to practice veterinary medicine in Louisiana.
- Experience in small animal medicine preferred, but not required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude towards working in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
