About the role
Kruger Animal Hospital has moved into a brand-new building and is seeking a 4th associate to join their collaborative and fun practice in Bloomington-Normal. The practice has been providing medical, grooming, and boarding services for small animals and exotics since 1952.
Responsibilities
- Offer strong mentorship to new graduates and provide all necessary support for career growth.
- Perform a mix of small animal, avian, reptile, and small mammal care (not required).
- Utilize modern surgical suite facilities, including isoflurane anesthesia, electrocautery, and advanced surgical monitoring.
- Provide orthopedic surgery services with laser therapy, ultrasonic dental equipment, and ECGs performed and interpreted on-site.
- Manage a robust pharmacy with compounding capabilities and a full IDEXX laboratory for selected blood chemistry, urinalysis, and sediments testing.
- Participate in a quick and reliable referral service to various specialists in the area.
- Use a paper-light, Avimark computer system to manage the client database.
- Cultivate special interests and receive support from experienced veterinarians and a team of leaders within the NVA family.
Requirements
All experience levels are welcome. Newly graduated candidates will also have access to the General Practice Mentorship Program, which includes one-on-one surgical and medical support, wellness programming, and social events.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA-accredited school.
- Current license to practice veterinary medicine in Illinois.
- Experience in small animal and exotic care preferred but not required.

Pay
Compensation ranges from $110k - $150k, commensurate with experience, skills, schedule, and the scope of services provided.
