About the role

Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer prescribed medications and treatments
• Maintain medical records
• Monitor work of subordinates to ensure quality care is provided and in compliance with patient care procedures and department policies
• Apply basic nursing principles, practices, and techniques following established healthcare procedures and standards

Requirements

• Must be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or eligible to be licensed in the State of South Dakota
• Knowledge of professional nursing theory and practices; recent developments in the field of professional nursing applicable to the area of assignment; clinical procedures
• Ability to keep records; follow instructions; operate a variety of medical equipment; make reports on observations; apply general nursing techniques and practices; maintain a helpful and sympathetic attitude toward patients; communicate effectively; deal effectively with patients and staff

Pay

• Starting pay will be $26.42 - $30.99, plus $5.00 per hour - shift pay for night shifts / plus $1.50 per hour weekend pay
