Vet Assistant/Kennel Technician

About the role

TLC Animal Hospital is hiring a part-time Veterinary Assistant/Kennel Technician to join their team. The clinic is located in Palm Harbor, near top-rated schools and the beach. Established for over 25 years, they offer state-of-the-art in-house diagnostics, surgeries, and radiology services.

Responsibilities

• Play an important role in bringing comfort to our furry patients and ensuring the smooth running of our facility.
• Keep all areas of the hospital clean.
• Assist the veterinarians and technicians in examinations.
• Answer phone calls.
• Assist in the lab as well as surgical and dental procedures pre-op and post-op.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience as a Veterinary Assistant or similar position working with animals.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Patient and caring personality.
• Able to follow instructions properly.
• Able to meet the physical demands of the job (ex. lift up to 50lbs).
