Vertical Form Seal Operator

Responsibilities

• Calibrate the vertical form seal machine before each production run.
• Conduct regular inspections, cleaning, and maintenance of the machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitor machine operations and adjust settings as necessary to maintain quality and maximize efficiency.
• Perform tests to assess machine functionality and output quality.
• Load raw materials into the machines and assist with assembly line processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or malfunctions that arise during production.
• Inspect finished products to identify defects or deviations from quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records of machine operations, including production data, defective units, and final product counts.
• Keep detailed logs of daily activities and performance metrics.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on machine performance and production metrics.
• Supervise and support a small team of production line employees to ensure production goals are met efficiently.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in machine operation is a plus.
• Proven experience as a machine operator or in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic machinery issues.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality control procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
