About the role
The Bar Assistant plays an important role in supporting the bar and lounge operations by ensuring bartenders and service staff have everything they need to deliver an exceptional guest experience. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar environment while anticipating guest and operational needs. The Bar Assistant is part of the Restaurant & Bar team and reports to the Bar Manager or Outlet Manager.
Responsibilities
- Support bartenders and servers by maintaining stock levels of beverages, garnishes, glassware, ice, and supplies.
- Clear, clean, and set tables, chairs, linens, china, glassware, and silverware to Four Seasons standards.
- Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly and professionally to requests and concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar stations, service areas, and back-of-house spaces.
- Assist with preparing fruit, garnishes, and other beverage mise en place.
- Assist bartenders with beverage preparation as needed.
- Ensure side stations are properly stocked throughout service.
- Work collaboratively with team members to deliver seamless and memorable guest experiences.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
- Previous experience in beverage service, food and beverage operations, hospitality, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds and remain active throughout the shift.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and guest service skills.
- Ability to obtain any required local food handling or alcohol service certifications.
