Verification Specialist
In the Role
- Review and verify customer information, documentation, and loan stipulations for accuracy and compliance.
- Investigate and resolve missing information by working with customers, branch teams, underwriting, and third-party partners.
- Validate identity, employment, income, and other information used in loan decisions.
- Review loan documentation and support funding activities to ensure timely and accurate loan disbursement.
- Identify potential fraud indicators, discrepancies, or complex situations and escalate as appropriate.
- Deliver exceptional service while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the customer experience.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED
- 1 year of customer service experience
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Customer-focused with an investigative mindset and sound judgment
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities
Preferred
- Experience in financial services, consumer lending, loan processing, verification, underwriting support, fraud review, or related fields
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with performance and service-level goals
Location: On site in Tempe, AZ
Schedule: Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 6a-8p AZ time (7a-9p Daylight Savings time) and Saturday 6a-1p. The schedule is 40 hours per week within hours of operation, which includes up to 3 Saturdays per quarter.
