About the role

The Security Manager is responsible for the overall management of the security department to ensure guest, employee, artist, and venue safety. They also control costs and ensure total guest satisfaction by guarding, patrolling, and monitoring the premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.

Responsibilities

• Work in conjunction with the General Manager and Operations Manager to ensure compliance with all policies and procedures that relate to the security department as well as local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
• Maintain security of premises by monitoring and authorizing entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons.
• Guard and patrol the venue to prevent theft and take corrective action when needed.
• Provide guidance and implement necessary adjustments to improve security practices.
• Investigate and resolve security complaints and interact positively with guests.
• Circulate among visitors, patrons, or employees to preserve order and protect property.
• Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
• Select, train, supervise, counsel, and discipline security staff for the efficient operation of the security department.
• Show CARE by participating in the venue’s sustainability program, which could include implementing programs that conserve resources/prevent waste and educating fans about our efforts.
• Partner with fellow band members at the end of the show to close the venue - this may include collecting recyclables from the lawn and/or reserved section, picking up and properly storing event equipment.
• Organize and conduct meetings and communicate pertinent information to the staff.
• Schedule and direct staff in their work assignments.
• Regularly review and evaluate the department and recommend and implement new operational policies and procedures when necessary.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business environment, and enforcement procedures.
• Strong strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• An acute sense of judgment, tact, and diplomacy.
• A strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs.

Qualifications

• Constant walking, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying 50 lbs., and occasional sitting.

Pay

Compensation information is a good faith estimate for this position only and is provided pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and Equal Pay Transparency Rules. It is estimated based on what a successful Colorado applicant might be paid. It assumes that the successful candidate will be in Colorado or perform the position from Colorado. Similar positions located outside of Colorado will not necessarily receive the same compensation.
