Vendor Relations Specialist

About the role

Support vendors by processing requests for assistance and facilitating solutions. Report on daily incident counts and aging metrics, host vendor calls for onboarding and EDI training and validate compliance chargeback issues.

Responsibilities

• Responds promptly to vendor emails and inquiries regarding payment status, compliance issues and shipping requirements.
• Utilizes strong organizational partnerships to enhance information sharing, support informed decision‑making, and achieve objectives.
• Brings escalated issues to Supervisor and recommends solutions.
• Hosts introductory calls with vendors and trains vendors on EDI platform usage.
• Handles additional projects and duties as assigned.
• Demonstrates strong organizational skills in managing vendor correspondence and aging incidents.
• Advises appropriate cross‑functional teams of vendor issues for direction on next steps, including liaising with the Accounts Payable team on payment status, shortage research and dispute approvals.
• Reviews compliance chargebacks and validates them.
• Works effectively in MS Office suite and company systems.
• Effectively manages daily tasks and assignments and checks deliverables for accuracy.
• Publishes an internal report daily and a weekly recap for senior leadership.
