Vendor Manager
Job Responsibilities
- Manages and optimizes relationships with key vendors to ensure efficient and cost-effective procurement of goods and services
- Maintains vendor performance and enforces contract terms to ensure compliance and analyzes vendor costs to achieve cost savings and efficiency improvements
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders to implement strategic planning and best practices in vendor and supplier relationship management and risk management
- Prepares and presents reports on vendor performance, cost savings, and other key metrics to leadership
- Acts as a liaison between internal teams—such as Credit Strategy, Fraud Operations, Compliance, Technology, and Legal—and external partners to ensure seamless solution integration and timely delivery of capabilities
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field plus 3 years of related work experience
- Master's/Advanced Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field (Preferred)
- 4-7 years - Implementing strategic planning and best practices in procurement and risk management
- 4-7 years - Managing and optimizing relationships with vendors in a corporate setting
- 4-7 years - Analyzing vendor costs and managing budgets to achieve cost savings and efficiency improvements

- Analytics - Proficiency in analyzing vendor performance metrics and cost data to identify improvement opportunities
- Risk Management - Capability to assess and mitigate risks associated with vendor relationships and procurement processes
- Reporting & Analysis - Ability to prepare detailed reports on vendor performance, cost savings, and other key metrics for leadership review
- Microsoft Excel - Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and financial modeling related to vendor management
- Communication - Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with internal stakeholders and vendors
- Problem Solving - Strong problem-solving abilities to address and resolve issues that arise in vendor management and procurement processes
- Leadership - Leadership skills to guide and influence internal teams and manage relationships with strategic vendors
