Primary Duties
The primary duties of the employee are (but not limited to) the following:
- Sub-contract component processes such as heat treat, black oxide, chrome, grinding, machining, etc.
- Obtain and evaluate vendor quotations
- Evaluate vendor performance
- Confirm orders with vendors
- Key orders and process all paperwork pertinent to shipping the orders
- Write up requests for special purchased items or prints for non-stocked manufactured items
- Monitor back orders and track late parts
- Maintain vendor files on any and all correspondence
- Push through job packets/purchase requests for urgently needed parts and follow up
- Close jobs in an expeditious manner
- Have a clear understanding of all processes involved with the position
- Identify, record and communicate any problems relating to product, process and the quality system
- Conform to all Quality and Safety requirements and procedures
- Participate in the Continuous Improvement Process
- Perform other duties as requested or as deemed appropriate
- Coordinate parts delivery and pickup
