Vending Operations Clerk PT w/Benefits

About the role

The Navy Exchange in Lemoore, CA seeks a Vending Operations Clerk to support the local Naval community and operational successes. This role involves various clerical and administrative tasks such as preparing statistical and financial data, maintaining reports, managing data entry, and supporting customer service.

Responsibilities

• Ensures contracted vendors submit reconciliation forms monthly and inputs data into VMS system.
• Runs reports to ensure the contractor information is balanced.
• Reviews vendor invoices to ensure that product costs match product costs in VMS system.
• Prepares Monthly Vending Machine Micro Market Reports to include gross profit report, month-end inventory, and journal entries.
• Processes Lawson requisitions and is the Purchase Card holder.
• Receives equipment purchases in Lawson and updates the VMS system with the fixed asset number.
• Enters information into the VMS system to include Micro Market contracted vendors and vending data.
• Manages customer service calls and emails dealing with broken machines.
• Prepares documentation for commission reports to ensure payments to commands based on MOA perimeters.
• Maintains refund claims for contracted and NEX-owned machines to ensure proper logging in the VMS system and reimbursement from contracted vendors.
• May assist in the warehouse and with receiving functions if necessary.
• Orders office supplies for vending associates within the vending department.
• Maintains payroll and time cards for associates.
• Maintains Sub-Custody Change Fund documents from Cash Office.

Requirements

• Must be able to pass appropriate background checks needed for the specific area of responsibility, e.g., Federal DOD Security Clearance.

Qualifications

• One year progressively responsible clerical/office work of any kind in which the applicant has demonstrated the ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade level of the position.
