About the role

As a Vending Machine Technician, you will assemble, set up, and ship tool and MRO vending equipment from our Novi facility. Training will be provided to enable you to effectively assemble, install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial vending machines located in customers' manufacturing facilities. While much support can be provided remotely from our Novi, Michigan facility, some installations, inventory replenishments, and hands-on repairs will require on-site visits.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, set up, program, and troubleshoot tool and MRO industrial vending machines.
• Once trained, perform on-site machine installation, service calls, cleaning, inventory and parts organization, and machine customization.
• Communicate with customer personnel in a timely, professional, and courteous manner.
• Maintain quality service levels and process efficiencies while driving continuous departmental improvements.
• Coordinate with local Field Sales, Sales Manager, and VMI Manager regarding customer accounts and best practices.
• Assist with other projects and duties as business needs require.
• Travel: less than 10%.

Requirements

• Must be age 21 or older to drive a company vehicle.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Mechanically inclined; previous assembly experience preferred.
• Self-directed with high productivity and strong personal organization, even with frequent interruptions.
• Customer-centric attitude with a desire to grow within a customer-focused company.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and deductive reasoning skills.
• Proficient in Windows computers, Microsoft Office (Outlook and Excel), and Teams.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalency.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, slide, and lower packages typically weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent twisting, bending, and standing.
