About the role
The Vehicle Sales Manager at Ryder is a key member of a dynamic team focused on maximizing proceeds and gains on used vehicle sales. This role involves building a robust retail network, managing inventory, and coordinating with various stakeholders to optimize vehicle sales and reduce holding times.
Responsibilities
- Aggressively builds a retail vehicle sales network through advertising, direct mail, prospect list development, walk-ins, cold calls, and sales events.
- Maintains inventory control by preparing bills of sale, title information, warranty forms, and other promotional materials.
- Maintains customer satisfaction by monitoring programs and promotions, providing feedback, and implementing continuous improvement processes.
- Serves as an expert resource in market equipment demands, local pricing, out service quality and timeliness, and coordinates the local wholesaling of "as is" and over-aged equipment.
- Works closely with Area Trade/Wholesale Manager and Manager, International Vehicle Sales to coordinate and evaluate area customer takeover units.
- Assists in the local wholesaling of "as is" and over-aged equipment.
- Ensures vehicles are accepted for sale in Road Ready (8.1) condition and promotes Ryder Financing initiatives to minimize repossessions and lower total time of sale.
- Provides district asset management support by proactively providing input on market conditions, pricing, and out service timeliness and quality.
- Supports the Vehicle Sales Center Manager and Area Trade/Wholesale Manager in identifying local and regional wholesale customers to dispose of "as is" and averaged inventory.
- Enforces pricing strategies and assists in the coordination, identification, and transport of wholesale, trade, and export vehicles.
- Works closely with district and region maintenance management to ensure vehicles are accepted for sale in Road Ready (8.1) condition.
- Promotes effective Sales center communication between internal and external customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Post-secondary education preferred with emphasis on marketing and sales assignments.
- 3 years or more in Ryder or industry experience in variety of sales assignments.

Pay
Base Salary: $45-50K + Guaranteed Allowance.
Anticipated First-Year Earnings: $90-100K.
Compensation ranges for the position are below:
- Minimum Pay Range: $90,000
- Maximum Pay Range: $100,000
Schedule
Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
