About the role

Assists with the repair and maintenance of City vehicles and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair systems such as engines, exhaust, electrical, brakes, hydraulics, HVAC, and transmissions across a variety of vehicles and heavy equipment.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, including checking and maintaining batteries, tires, lights, transmissions, exhaust systems, and brake systems.
• Auxiliary duties may include assisting other departments with operational tasks such as chip sealing, snow removal, and other public works tasks.
