VDC Technician

About the role

This position is open for both AutoCAD/Revit Modeler and Desktop Support Technician roles. The AutoCAD/Revit Modeler requires a certification or equivalent of a degree in appropriate education and experience, while the Desktop Support Technician provides technical software, hardware, and network problem resolution.

Responsibilities

• AutoCAD/Revit Modeler:
  • Perform AutoCAD/Revit support - drafting, plotting, plotter maintenance, record documents
  • Incorporate markups of the electrical power and lighting systems into AutoCAD/Revit models
  • Assemble design drawings and documents and provide or coordinate delivery
• Desktop Support Technician:
  • Provide Support for Microsoft Windows 11
  • Install and support for engineering software
  • Operate and maintain end-user hardware and software
  • Configure new computers, peripherals, services, settings, file storage, etc. in accordance with standards
  • Redirect issues to appropriate resource and escalate situations requiring urgent attention

Requirements

• Basic Microsoft Office applications, Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit experience
• Thorough experience and knowledge of PC’s
• Strong Time management Skills
• Strong Trouble-shooting Skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Work within a team
• Some extra hours in the evenings and weekends required

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required. College/Technology school in AutoCAD/Revit preferred.
• Licensure/Certifications: None required.
