VDC Technician

About the role

This position is available in the Engineering Department and involves providing technical support and assistance to the AutoCAD/Revit Modeler and Desktop Support Technician roles. The position is generally performed in an office environment and requires some extra hours in the evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• AutoCAD/Revit Modeler:
  • Perform AutoCAD/Revit support - drafting, plotting, plotter maintenance, record documents
  • Incorporate markups of the electrical power and lighting systems into AutoCAD/Revit models
  • Assemble design drawings and documents and provide or coordinate delivery
• Desktop Support Technician:
  • Provide technical software, hardware and network problem resolution to all Engineering Department technology users
  • Conduct hardware and software inventory database maintenance and reporting
  • Perform related work as required

Requirements

• Basic Microsoft Office applications, Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit experience
• Thorough experience and knowledge of PC’s
• Strong Time management Skills
• Strong Trouble-shooting Skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Work within a team

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required. College/Technology school in AutoCAD/Revit preferred.
• Licensure/Certifications: None required.
• Experience: 2+ years of experience in a similar position.
