We specialize in general construction across top commercial markets including healthcare, commercial, and wood frame. As a VDC Manager, you’ll foster relationships with clients while building projects that stand tall for generations. This role offers competitive salaries and a robust benefits package.
Responsibilities
- Manage adversity and obstacles with tact and good judgment.
- Exhibit all competencies of the Assistant VDC Manager.
- Market Batson-Cook and communicate the company’s story.
- Credit/edit our BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and exhibits to meet project needs.
- Communicate effectively with architects and consultants on design-build projects.
- Interpret conceptual, schematic, or bridging documents and develop cost estimates.
- Build a strong working knowledge of the entire delivery process from design conception through construction, identifying areas for improvement at any stage.
- Understand the design process (third-party or integrated).
- Stay informed of industry developments and emerging technologies, reporting their significance to the organization.
- Demonstrate a fundamental understanding of Batson-Cook’s health and safety plan.
- Establish metrics for measuring process improvements and track results.
- Understand procurement processes, including buyout strategies and subcontract items.
- Identify project goals and monitor progress, offering support to ensure goals are fulfilled.
- Speak publicly and effectively present the VDC process at project interviews.
- Identify major project risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Demonstrate strong time management skills.
- Recognize unmet needs within the organization and propose solutions.
- Develop VDC strategies to address project challenges, provide creative solutions, and ensure effective implementation.
- Communicate verbally and in writing with customers, suppliers, and employees.
- Maintain relationships to ensure needs are met and conflicts are resolved.
- Communicate and reinforce the company’s vision, mission, and values.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in a relevant field with 5–8 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum training/certifications outlined for Assistant VDC Manager, with knowledge of applicable tools.
