VDC BIM Designer, DC Design Engineering

Responsibilities

• Coordinate consolidated Templates insource and trades models of our Data Centers, and utilize Revit and Navisworks to maintain our standards.
• Work independently and within a team environment to accomplish assigned tasks. This includes working with internal groups as well as external suppliers and consultants, manufacturers, vendors, and contractors.
• Update and modify existing models, studies, and construction documents as required.
• Assist with creating, maintaining, and enforcing BIM templates and standards.
• Audit project deliverables and monitor quality.
• Lead design coordination meetings with other trades for clash detection and resolution.
• Work on concurrent projects in multiple geographical locations.
• Assist the project team with information exchange processes between internal and external customers.
• Provide coordination support for information requests during construction phases.
• Record and report key metrics to management.
• Travel to Data Center sites for engineering evaluations and surveys as required.
• On average: once or twice a year.
• Be self-motivated and work within the BIM Design group as well as within other teams.
• Be positive and always offer creative, out-of-the-box solutions.

Requirements

• Experience with the design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission critical facilities, especially data centers.
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience with Autodesk Revit and BIM coordination, 3+ years of producing construction drawings for mission critical facilities.
• Experience with Navisworks.
• Experience with Autodesk Forma or ACC (Autodesk Construction Cloud).

Qualifications

• Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region.
• Knowledge of commercial or industrial power systems or mechanical systems.
• Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production.
• Experience using a variety of web-based and other software tools for calculation and data processing.

Skills

• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in Revit and BIM coordination.
• Experience with Navisworks.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.

USA, VA, Herndon - 96,600.00 - 160,000.00 USD annually
USA, WA, Seattle - 96,600.00 - 160,000.00 USD annually
