About the role
The Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts (VCUarts) Department of Kinetic Imaging seeks applicants for adjunct teaching positions in animation. We are looking for animators with a fine arts, non-mainstream approach.
Responsibilities
- Teach classes in 2D and 3D animation within the fall 2026 semester.
- Be an enthusiastic ambassador for the Department of Kinetic Imaging.
- Work collaboratively and in a learning-centered community with other adjunct instructors, students, and faculty.
Requirements
- Terminal degree in a related field, or equivalent training and professional experience.
- Appropriate teaching experience and/or strong oral presentation and communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering an environment of respect, professionalism, and civility with a diverse student population.
Qualifications

Pay
- VCUarts Standard Adjunct Per Credit Rate.
