Job Summary
This position is responsible for assisting the Vault/Coin Manager in developing and maintaining a safe, efficient, and secure vault operation staffed by professional, well-trained vault personnel, ensuring the highest level of service for each client by properly transferring liability, routing cargo, and maintaining operational compliance with company policies.

Typical Duties/Responsibilities
- Implement, monitor, and recommend changes to policies and procedures to ensure accountability and security/safety/operation.
- Ensure vault department complies by balancing the vault during each shift.
- Maintain workflow, hours, and adjust staffing needs while maintaining schedules as needed to ensure quality levels of service and performance.
- Ensure routes are checked in/out in an accurate and timely manner.
- Team with management on all investigations and facility audits, monitor security tapes, backups, audits & surveillances.
- Cook with branch management on routing items and routes.
- Aid in ongoing maintenance of SOFI, TNT, RPM, or other software programs.
- Serve as liaison with the Federal Reserve Bank, banks, thrift charters, and commercial customers to identify and resolve problems.
- Exercise usual supervisory authority regarding staffing, hiring, performance appraisals, terminations, and staff development.
- Communicate with internal, bank, or commercial customers to address and resolve problems, special requests, and/or discrepancy situations.
- Monitor and control vaulted items such as, keys, combinations, personal access list, and other items as requested.
- Ensuring the vault is staying audit compliant and audit ready by performing audit spot checks.
Essential Functions/Job Qualifications
- Ability to maintain a stooped or squatting position for several minutes to perform the sorting function.
- Ability to walk continuously between bins, vaults, booths, and counters.
- Ability to stand on the concrete floor approximately 80 percent of shift.
- Ability to sign and record numbers by hand and, make entries on records, and prepare reports.
Human Performance Evaluation (HPE)
Successful completion of testing in the following areas is required:
- Lift: 25lbs vertical lift from 10 inches to 66 inches from the floor (1X)
- Lift-Carry: 18lbs vertical lift from 1 inch to 44 inches from the floor, and horizontally transfer 15ft (4X); 18lbs vertical lift from 10 inches to 36 inches from the floor and horizontally transfer 300ft (1X)
- Push-Pull: Horizontally transfer 47lbs of force on a sled (single, non-dominant arm), a distance of 1ft (2X)
- Repetitive Coupling: Squeeze Jamar Hand Dynamometer requiring forces up to 30lbs / both right & left hands (4X each)
