Responsibilities
- Operate HTST processing system, CIP system, and record all time, temperature, pressure, and flow rates.
- Detect and report system abnormalities to reduce risk and damage.
- Understand and troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor maintenance repairs.
- Cook up-to-date on processing system operations and sanitation, bacterial control, and sterilization.
- Clean silos, mix room, totes, pumps, UHT press, hook up CIP lines.
- Monitor and troubleshoot CIP systems to ensure proper operation.
- Check chemical concentration to meet company and USDA standards.
- Maintain chemical usage in chemical rooms to meet correct PPM.
- Prepare written reports and maintain assigned logs, records, and documentation.
- Blend mixed products using outlined procedures.
- Foster open communication and maintain a positive attitude.
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance.
- Ensure regulatory compliance at all times.
- Assist in other areas of the business as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three or more months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, interpret documents, write routine reports, speak effectively, and prioritize tasks.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and draw/bar graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions, deal with problems, and prioritize tasks.
- Must have the ability to work in high and confined spaces while following safety procedures.
- Must be able to work overtime and/or weekends when required.
- Bilingual (Spanish-English) is a plus.
