Operator - Tote Room 2nd Shift

Responsibilities

• Affirms personal responsibility for ensuring a safe and healthy workplace for all.
• Adheres to all safety policies and procedures and integrates safety and health into all jobs and tasks.
• Ensures regulatory compliance.
• Operates, cleans, and maintains extended run fillers to ensure finished products meet customer, MFI, and USDA specifications.
• Assumes responsibility for setup, running, cleaning, conducting preventive maintenance (PM), troubleshooting extended run fillers, including Custom Tote/Pail Filler and Pail Filler, Scholle Tote Filler.
• Maintains accurate documentation in real time and proactively plans and leads changeover activities for fillers and date coding.
• Alerts supervisors when mechanical problems occur and ensures GMP and sanitation practices are maintained.
• Maintains active communication with ESL pasteurizer operators to ensure efficient operation.
• Engages in continuous improvement efforts and reports any conditions or practices that may adversely affect personnel safety.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience operating machinery and handling GMP’s and product specifications.
• Ability to work independently.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with colleagues.
• Basic computer skills necessary to operate equipment controls.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read and understand SOP’s.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
