Shift: Day
Location: 2200 Fowler Grove Blvd, suite 060, Winter Garden, FL 34787
Responsibilities
- Attends department meetings and engages in positive dialogue to support department objectives.
- Obtains high-quality scans by following proper exam protocols and adapting procedures to each patient's medical situation.
- Confirms patient and exam accuracy using two patient identifiers before administering exams.
- Performs, documents, and reports all procedures in accordance with departmental policy.
- Reviews images and completes ultrasound worksheets and/or reports promptly if applicable, re-scanning patients as requested.
- Communicates and collaborates with the multidisciplinary team, including notifying physicians of abnormal findings.
- Utilizes computer systems to update exam status, manage orders, and ensure accurate charges.
- Operates and maintains ultrasound equipment safely, adhering to infection control standards.
- Performs a full range of diagnostic ultrasound procedures and rotates between multiple departments as needed.
- Assists with clinical instructions and serves as a resource to less experienced employees.
- Participates in performance improvement activities and contributes to process improvement initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Demonstrates knowledge of Vascular anatomy and physiology
- Experience with Abdomen, Abdominal Doppler, and Vascular procedures
- Demonstrates ability to perform carotid exams, abdominal exams, upper and lower extremity arterial/venous studies with ankle brachial indexes, PVR, post vein ablations procedures, and imaging of pre-operative/post-operative bypass grafts, stents and endarterectomies
- Ability to learn and master new tasks related to the computer and AGFA Pacs system
- Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of various diverse backgrounds
- Ability to function independently with little or no supervision
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
