Vascular Technologist, Vascular Lab

Job Summary

The Vascular Technologist interacts with patients and their families in a caring, considerate manner and provides care with the highest regard for the patient’s mental, spiritual, and physical well‑being. The role involves performing vascular studies across a wide range of patient ages and settings, including the hospital laboratory, physician offices, and on‑call coverage 24 hours per day, seven days per week.

Responsibilities

• Perform vascular studies such as carotid duplex, aorta duplex, vein mapping, venous duplex, arterial physiology studies, arterial duplex, renal/SMA arterial duplex, arterial bypass grafts, dialysis access grafts, pre‑op dialysis access evaluations, venous insufficiency exams, and ankle‑brachial indexes (ABIs).
• Provide diagnostic testing to infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Deliver services in the hospital, laboratory, and physician office settings.
• Maintain on‑call responsibilities and ensure diagnostic testing availability 24 hours per day, seven days per week.
• Make independent decisions with indirect, minimal supervision.
• Deliver outstanding customer service that upholds CarolinaEast’s Standards of Excellence.

Minimum Requirements

• Registered as a Vascular Technologist within one year of employment (registration required).
• Prior experience performing peripheral vascular testing.
• Registered Vascular Technologist credential preferred.
• College degree in Health Science or Allied Health preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of age‑appropriate care, growth and development principles, and ability to assess and interpret patient data.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.

Pay

• Sign‑on bonus of $25,000 for qualified full‑time candidates.
• Relocation assistance up to $10,000 for full‑time candidates, per HR guidelines.
