Vascular Technologist
Job Summary
Performs non-invasive peripheral testing at any or all of the HDH campuses, evaluates hemodynamics of patients' arterial, venous and/or cerebrovascular circulation, prepares data, writes preliminary reports, and transmits data to physicians and reporting software.
Qualifications
- Two years of college courses with concentration in anatomy and physiology, and/or Graduate of vocational school or an associate’s degree with a concentration in anatomy and/or physiology. Meet educational requirements as defined by governing body under applicants’ relevant credential (ARDMS/CCI/ARRT).
- Registered Vascular Technologist-RVT(ARDMS) or Registered Vascular Specialist-RVS(CCI) or ARRT (VS) credential obtained within 6 months of hire date. Basic Life Support from American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- Successful completion of vascular ultrasound educational program and eligible to sit for certification exam. One year of vascular technology experience in a hospital setting preferred.
Skills
Maintains lab equipment, inspects for breakdown, trouble-shoots, communicates with repair persons, restocks work areas with necessary supplies, keeps work areas clean and orderly, submits activity reports as requested, participates in any function deemed necessary to the smooth function of the lab.
