About the role

Provides comprehensive pre/post‑operative nursing care for patients with peripheral vascular disease undergoing various surgical interventions, including endoluminal and open repairs, carotid procedures, dialysis access, thrombolysis, and bypasses. Utilizes critical thinking and clinical expertise to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Collaborates with the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans, educate patients and families, and promote healing in a patient‑ and family‑centered environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for peripheral vascular disease surgical patients.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance throughout the peri‑operative period.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans.
• Provide patient and family education regarding procedures, recovery, and self‑care.
• Promote healing in a patient‑ and family‑centered environment.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred).
• Current RN license.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, and arterial line monitoring.
• At least 2 years of experience in a related setting (preferred).
