About the role
The incoming surgeon will provide comprehensive vascular care, including both open and endovascular procedures, and collaborate with cardiology, interventional radiology, nephrology, and critical care teams.
Responsibilities
- Perform open and endovascular procedures in a hospital-based surgical setting
- Evaluate and manage inpatient vascular consultations
- Participate in call coverage and vascular service line development
- Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with cardiology, nephrology, wound care, and critical care services
- Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of accredited Vascular Surgery residency or fellowship
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Vascular Surgery
- Eligible for medical licensure in Maine
- DEA certification required
