Vascular Sonographer, Full-Time

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging using ultrasound equipment to assess blood vessels and related conditions.
• Operate ultrasound equipment with technical expertise.
• Provide accurate and high-quality diagnostic images.
• Show strong commitment to patient care.
• Collaborate with patients and healthcare professionals for optimal care.

Requirements

• No prior experience needed.
• State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.
• Must have ARDMS (RVT) or CCI(RVS) or ARRT(RVS) certification or be registry eligible (certification must be obtained within 6 months of eligibility).
• Must hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of Sonography and completed required clinical hours OR received on-the-job training by a Preceptor who is registered in Cardiac ultrasound.

Skills

• Proficient in producing diagnostic images with recognition of technical abnormalities.
• Knowledgeable in safe and proper machine operation.
• Well-versed in machine emergency procedures and radiation safety.
• Able to adjust protocols as needed based on patient needs.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Effective in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
