Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging using ultrasound equipment to assess blood vessels and related conditions.
- Operate ultrasound equipment with technical expertise.
- Provide accurate and high-quality diagnostic images.
- Show strong commitment to patient care.
- Collaborate with patients and healthcare professionals for optimal care.
Requirements
- No prior experience needed.
- State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.
- Must have ARDMS (RVT) or CCI(RVS) or ARRT(RVS) certification or be registry eligible (certification must be obtained within 6 months of eligibility).
- Must hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a school of Sonography and completed required clinical hours OR received on-the-job training by a Preceptor who is registered in Cardiac ultrasound.
Skills
- Proficient in producing diagnostic images with recognition of technical abnormalities.
- Knowledgeable in safe and proper machine operation.
- Well-versed in machine emergency procedures and radiation safety.
- Able to adjust protocols as needed based on patient needs.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
