Vascular OR Service Line Coordinator

About the role

The role involves coordinating clinical education and professional development activities to maintain consistent standards of practice and competencies in patient care. It also includes supporting unit leadership by demonstrating effective leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Conducts initial and ongoing rounds throughout the day to ensure cases proceed as planned.
• Reviews OR schedules and expedites first case starts and room turnover.
• Partners with SPD, Supply Chain Operations, nursing departments, and physician offices to ensure patient care needs are met.
• Monitors vendors in patient care areas and participates in inventory management.
• Facilitates the nursing unit’s education plan for various aspects of patient care.
• Supports department compliance initiatives and collaborates with managers to develop unit standards, policies, procedures, protocols, documentation, forms, and performance monitoring tools.
• Supports OR staffing needs in Clinical RN capacity (scrub or circulating).

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing with two years of relevant experience OR Associate's degree in Nursing with four years of relevant experience.
• Current Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which services will be provided or current multi-state Registered Nurse license through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.
