VAS Vice President

As a member of CBRE’s Valuation & Advisory Services (VAS) team, you will prepare appraisal reports on small to large properties, inspect sites, and determine land, property, and business values.

Responsibilities

  • Identify property value through detailed appraisal analysis.
  • Study appraisal requests and project scope to resolve business solutions.
  • Collect data on comparable properties, sales, listings, vacancies, and market trends.
  • Conduct land-use, supply-and-demand, and marketability studies.
  • Interview collaborators for research and data gathering.
  • Prepare appraisal reports describing property characteristics, procedures, information evaluated, and underlying assumptions, conditions, and reasoning.
  • Follow Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice and maintain confidentiality.
  • Communicate with clients regarding appraisal requests, problem-solving, and project scope.
  • Track real-estate values and development potential.
  • Contribute to team goals, mentor colleagues, and assist with team database maintenance.
  • Apply standard principles and procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
  • Mentor others and share knowledge across job fields within the function.
  • Lead by example, modeling CBRE RISE values and building consensus.
  • Impact customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and related teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university.
  • Minimum of 8 years of commercial appraisal experience.
  • General State Certification or License required; MAI designation preferred.
  • Ability to exercise judgment based on analysis of multiple information sources.
  • Willingness to challenge existing solutions with fresh perspectives.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Advanced organizational skills and inquisitive approach.
  • Sophisticated math skills, including percentages, fractions, and financial calculations.

Pay

Base salary range: $80,168 annually, plus incentive compensation such as fee splits and other incentives. Total compensation will depend on skills, qualifications, performance, and experience.
