VAS Forklift Material Handler - All Shifts

PAY RANGE

$20 to $26 per hour (pay dependent on shift schedule, step increase program, and equipment certifications)

Additional Responsibilities

• Possesses a sense of urgency, accountability, and be able to work with limited supervision
• General understanding of computers and handheld RF equipment
• Must be able to read, write, and understand English
• Attention to detail and quality is a must
• Good communication, clear and concise, problem resolution, and people skills
• Flexibility in working overtime when needed and supplying coverage to other shifts
• PC skills are helpful
• Major experience forklifts
• Experience in building pallets with stock and breaking down stock to fill independent orders
• Experience in cross docking freight process
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse

Qualifications

• 1+ years of forklift driving experience in a warehouse using a forklift (reach, walkie rider, sit-down, cherry/order picker)
• Good stable work record
• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
• Warehousing certifications a plus

Physical Demands

• Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to activate phone systems utilizing keyboards and buttons
• Must be articulate and comfortable speaking in front of others
• Regularly works in an indoor/office environment and required to sit and/or use repetitive hand motion
• Frequently required to talk, hear, stand and walk
• Must be able to work more than 8 continuous hours when required
• Must be able to work under stressful situations, have good cognitive skills, maintain work accuracy, and the ability to concentrate on more than one task at a time
• Must have the ability to read and discern visual images on a variety of media with 20/20 corrected vision
• Must be able to speak and communicate clearly over telephones
• Must be in sound physical health as determined by a certified licensed physician with no evidence of the use of controlled substances
