Pay
$20.00–$23.00 per hour, plus the following incentives:
- Attendance Incentive – up to $2,400 bonus for good attendance (refer to policy for rules and details).
- Referral Bonus – up to $500 per referral (refer to policy for rules and details).
- Hiring Bonus – up to $1,000 (refer to policy for rules and details).
- Step-increase program – pay increases by $0.50 after 90 days and again after 180 days (Material Handlers only).
- Certified/qualified Forklift/Walkie Rider/Cherry Picker drivers receive an additional $0.50 per hour.
- Certified/qualified Reach Truck drivers receive an additional $1.00 per hour.

About the role
Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to handle inbound and outbound freight, maintain warehouse organization, load/unload trailers, and ensure accurate staging and documentation of shipments.
Responsibilities
- Assist Warehouse Manager to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
- Operate sit-down forklift and use handheld RF equipment.
- Load and unload RJW truck/trailers and outside carriers’ equipment safely and efficiently.
- Work 10–12 hour shifts when necessary; comfortable working at heights.
- Pick and move stock ranging from 1 lb. to 50 lbs. multiple times per shift.
- Ensure all shipments are correctly staged, checked, and loaded properly.
- Maintain warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping.
- Process outbound cross-dock freight as necessary.
- Oversee proper storage of stock in warehouse and movement into storage racks.
- Pick customer orders using warehouse operations sheets and load onto trailers.
- Record and verify shipment accuracy against paperwork for incoming/outgoing deliveries.
- Complete all required documentation and paperwork accurately.
- Operate forklifts safely following OSHA regulations and RJW safety policies, including wearing seatbelts.
- Conduct daily forklift maintenance inspections.
- Handle all customer products properly and orderly; inspect deliveries for damage or poor packing and report issues.
- Report all accidents, incidents, stock damage, or building damage to Shift Supervisor immediately.
- Spot trailers to maintain efficient yard organization and equipment flow.
- Maintain clear access to dock doors inside and outside the facility, removing debris or snow.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by manager.
Requirements
- 2 years of forklift driving experience in a warehouse using sit-down forklifts.
- Experience with Walkie Rider or Stand-Up Reach Truck required.
- Good, stable work record.
- High School Diploma or GED; warehousing certifications a plus.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with handheld RF equipment.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work overtime and cover other shifts as needed.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Experience building pallets, breaking down stock, and cross-docking freight.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Must be able to work more than 8 continuous hours when required.
- Must pass a physical exam by a licensed physician, showing no evidence of controlled substance use.
Work Environment
- Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles.
- Noise levels range from quiet to moderately loud.
- Regular indoor/office environment with repetitive hand motion; frequent standing, walking, talking, and hearing.
