Varsity Girls Soccer Assistant Coach
Responsibilities
- Attend all practices and matches.
- Help create and execute all practice and match plans.
- Oversee team operations and administrative duties.
- Cook up and coordinate travel logistics.
- Attend all necessary athletic and school meetings.
- Communicate regularly with student-athletes, parents, staff, and administrators.
- Provide leadership and give detailed feedback to student-athletes.
- Exhibit the highest professional standards and ethical behavior.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree; minimum of one year of relevant coaching experience.
- Previous high school or college playing experience is preferred.
- Strong understanding of soccer skills and strategies.
- Growth mindset and passion for learning.
- Ability to form strong professional relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Commitment to equity and inclusion.
- Enthusiasm for working in a collaborative, independent school setting

Pay
The stipend ranges from $2,275 to $3,900 for the 13-week season.
Schedule
This part-time, stipended position begins August 10th and ends November 7th. Practices generally occur on weekdays between 3:30 and 7:00 PM, but matches occasionally run beyond that time. Practices and home games are held on Randall's Island.
