Responsibilities

• Transportation Services: Drive a county vehicle to provide safe, reliable, and courteous transportation services to customers.
• Passenger Assistance: Help passengers—including senior adults and wheelchair users—safely board and exit the vehicle and navigate uneven or unpaved pathways.
• Clear Communication: Maintain effective communication with passengers, dispatch, and agency staff in person and over two-way radio.
• Technology Use: Operate electronic tablets and other approved technology to access schedules, document services, and complete required program records.
• Professional Conduct: Demonstrate reliability, patience, professionalism, and the ability to work independently.

Schedule

Part-time employment, 14–21+ hours per week. Transportation operates 4:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Monday through Friday and limited hours on Saturdays. Telework is not an option in this position.

Requirements

• One year of employment which required operation of a motor vehicle as a regular duty; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
• No suspension of driver’s license within the last three years.
• Ability to meet Pennsylvania residency requirements.
• Ability to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements

• Pass a background investigation.
• Undergo a medical examination and drug screening upon conditional offer of employment.
• Submit and obtain satisfactory criminal history reports including PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
