About the role
The Transportation Driver under the supervision of the Transportation Manager is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of Senior Community Care (SCC) participants. The role involves communicating any safety issues to the Transportation Manager.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with the Interdisciplinary Team via the plan of care to transport participants to and from medical/specialist appointments, and activity outings.
- Transport meals, durable medical equipment, pharmacy, and any other items as deemed necessary for participant.
- Provide physical assistance to each participant when needed as he/she boards and debarks from the program’s vehicles.
Qualifications
- Must have Chauffer's License.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid Driver’s License in state of hire.
- Minimum of one year experience in working with the frail and elderly population.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and means of transportation.
- Pass background check and drug screening.
