About the role

The Truck Driver / Cleaner supports campus operations through waste and recycling collection and custodial services. This position primarily operates a campus truck to collect trash and recycling from buildings across the campus and performs routine cleaning services in assigned facilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate a campus truck safely and efficiently to collect trash and recycling from buildings across the campus.
• Follow established routes and schedules for waste and recycling pickup.
• Load, transport, and unload trash and recyclable materials in accordance with campus and safety guidelines.
• Perform basic vehicle checks and report maintenance or safety issues as needed.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, campus regulations, and safety procedures while operating the vehicle.
• Perform routine cleaning of three small campus buildings, including but not limited to:
• Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors
• Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms
• Emptying trash and recycling receptacles
• Dusting and wiping surfaces
• Use cleaning equipment and supplies safely and properly.
• Maintain assigned areas to campus cleanliness and sanitation standards.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods.
• Ability to work scheduled hours consistently.

• Basic knowledge of custodial cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.
