Value Stream Manager

Eaton’s Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions (GEIS) division is seeking a Value Stream Manager to join the team at the Sherman, TX manufacturing facility. Relocation assistance is provided for applicants residing outside a 50-mile radius of Sherman, TX.

About the role

As a key member of the Sherman Leadership Team, the Value Stream Manager will manage performance of multi-product line manufacturing operations with a focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity. This role requires a continuous improvement mindset while overseeing day-to-day activities and leveraging other functions to achieve plant objectives.

Responsibilities

• Establish a proactive safety culture of zero incidents while promoting and ensuring the completion of safety trainings and programs.
• Lead a team of direct and indirect reports to implement improvements to efficiencies and productivity in the respective work areas.
• Measure, communicate, and improve key SQCDIP (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Inventory, Productivity) performance indicators and support continuous improvement activities to achieve established goals.
• Instill and maintain a positive team atmosphere that engages and empowers employees to implement countermeasures and safety improvements.
• Ensure standardized work processes are properly documented and followed.
• Lead operational talent management, including employee engagement, performance management, assessing team members, identifying needs, creating training programs, and developing the team.
• Hold regular daily accountability and monthly department meetings, assign team member tasks, and coordinate support activities from other departments.
• Participate in preparing the annual Profit Plan and manage costs within that plan.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or High School diploma and at least 8 years of manufacturing operations experience with a proven track record of leadership and advancement into roles of increasing responsibility.
• Minimum five (5) years of manufacturing experience.
• Minimum three (3) years of people leadership/management experience in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• SAP experience.
• Experience deploying Lean methodology/tools (5S, Kaizen, Visual Management, Value Stream Mapping, SMED, etc.).
• Six Sigma/Green Belt experience.

Pay

The expected annual salary range for this role is $113,000 – $165,000. Salaries are based on candidate skills, experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations.
