Value Stream Manager

About the Role

Raytheon has an opportunity to join the Hardware Integration Center (HWIC) Factory team as the Value Stream Lead for the sub-assembly area, supporting a high-profile BMC4I program. This leadership position holds full management accountability for safety, quality, schedule, and cost performance across a multi-cell, multi-shift operation. The role focuses on driving operational excellence, improving on-time delivery, and reducing cycle time while interacting daily with cross-functional teams such as technical support, manufacturing/design engineering, maintenance, production control, finance, and multiple Integrated Product Teams.

Responsibilities

• Overall execution to delivery commitments.
• Support deployment of manufacturing operations strategy, control systems, tools, and metrics to measure progress and drive continuous improvement in a safe environment.
• Manage unit hour performance, staffing budget oversight, workforce forecasting, and area layout/flow.
• Identify and control capital and overhead expenses.
• Ensure full compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Achieve and exceed safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities using CORE and lean methodologies.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship (required for security clearance).
• Active and existing DoD Secret security clearance (required after day 1).
• Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
• Experience in one or more of the following areas: Engineering, Manufacturing, Production Control, Supply Chain, Operations, and/or Quality.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong management skills, including decision-making with minimal supervision, goal setting, delegation, coaching, and motivating.
• Manufacturing or industrial engineering and supervisory experience in the aerospace/defense industry.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills.
• Solid interpersonal skills to bridge operations, production control, engineering, supply chain, and customer relations.
• High computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and familiarity with Raytheon systems (PRISM, PDM, VBS).
• Metrics-driven with EVMS certification.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $107,500 – $204,500 USD. The range reflects all experience levels and considers factors such as role, function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
