Value Engineer

About the role

Bolzoni Group located in Sulligent, AL is seeking a Value Engineer (I or II).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate product costs for new products or for products localization
• Use AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to streamline workflows and reduce manual processes
• Identify opportunities for efficiency gains and cost savings for products already in production
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Sales teams during industrialization phase and to reduce time to quote
• Check product cost variance in case of design change
• Aid with industrialization and pre-production engineering activities
• Implement and support workflow automation solutions (e.g., Power Automate) to improve Cost Analysis
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities using AI-driven analytics

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field
• 1 - 5 years of experience in mechanical design, product development, or product cost estimation
• Knowledge of mechanical processes, especially welding and machining
• Experience or interest in AI tools, automation, or digital transformation initiatives
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills
• Experience with ERP or engineering systems (SAP, Teamcenter, NX Siemens, or similar preferred)
• Strong background with Excel
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Qualifications

• Preferred qualifications include knowledge of AI tools, familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools, and background in cost analysis or value engineering
