Value Added set-up Operator

About the role

This is a fully onsite position based at the Regal Rexnord Cleveland office. The role is for a Manual Grinder/Setup Operator on 1st shift.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Lathe machinery upholding production standards and ISO 9001 regulations and guidelines
• Inspect product to print, looking for any flaws and defects of material, including deburring if necessary
• Interpret drawings, specifications, process sheets, program readouts, and shop orders to plan and check work
• Obtain proper set of tools from tool crib; select holders, mount, secure, and check tools for accuracy
• Interpret drawings, route sheets, diagrams, specifications, and instructions to determine proper operation sequences
• Make necessary calculations for tool depth and tool compensation adjustments
• Move completed material to the next workstation
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Requirements

• One-year certificate from college or technical school preferred
• 6 months to 1 year related experience or training
• Ability to interpret and understand verbal and written directions
• Mechanically inclined with strong math skills
• Ability to read basic measuring devices, including micrometers and calipers
• Working knowledge of surface footage and feed rates; experienced in calculating feeds and speeds
• Must successfully complete a blueprint reading course

Pay

Pay range: $24.00–$30.00 per hour based on experience.
