Description Of Role And Responsibilities
Candidate will perform design for manufacturing analysis using VALOR platform to evaluate electronics PCBA assembly layout, in adherence with IPC guidelines, component manufacturer specification/recommendations and industry standard practices. VALOR output report will be qualified and quantified using a standard format in which risk assessment is presented for possible design modifications to improve manufacturability, quality and yield.
Qualifications
- Candidate must be a US Citizen in order to comply with ITAR and DFAR requirements
- Engineering B.S. degree (Electrical)
- Experience managing/viewing PCB files and viewers: Cadence/Allegro, ODB++, Gerber/ASCII files, KiCAD, Siemens Xpedition, CAMvu
- Experience in search/interpretation of electronics part data, component libraries
- Component engineering experience
- 3 years of experience in basic PCB design guidelines (Real Estate constraints/component proximity, thermal relief, copper density/distribution, trace/pad copper balance, etc.)
- PCB panel/Array design
- PCBA assembly experience desired (SMT/Pin through hole, Press fit interconnects)
