About the role

The Guest Service Associate provides attentive, friendly, and efficient hospitality services, including parking and retrieving guest vehicles, assisting with luggage, and delivering exceptional guest experiences during arrival and departure.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers, and clients; greets guests within five feet using their last names and a professional salutation.
  • Parks and retrieves vehicles safely and cautiously; assists guests with bell services, luggage storage, and door service.
  • Provides guests with directions, local attraction information, and assistance with taxis, reservations, and facility amenities.
  • Delivers messages, items, and guest amenities as requested; shuttles guests to approved locations.
  • Explains parking rates and procedures; issues and collects claim checks; completes all ticket information, including key tags, guest folios, vehicle location, and damage surveys.
  • Calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when needed; operates manual transmissions and performs parallel parking.
  • Posts up in designated areas when not completing tasks; adheres to Towne Park phone etiquette.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver’s license for the state of employment or within commutable distance.
  • One month of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and processes.

Skills

  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend standard English; ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings.
  • Basic arithmetic skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using American currency.
  • Ability to understand 24-hour/military time and calculate time-based rates.
  • Highly desirable: ability to operate a manual transmission and perform parallel parking.

Pay

Hourly base pay of $14.50 per hour plus tips (average $40 per shift).

Open availability required.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

  • Majority of work performed outdoors for extended periods, including entire shifts, in varying weather conditions (extreme heat and cold).
  • Regularly required to talk, hear, sit, stand, walk, run, handle objects, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Specific vision abilities required: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Lifting requirements: up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly.
  • Travel of up to 5% may be required.
