About the role

The Guest Service Associate provides exceptional hospitality services in an attentive, friendly, and efficient manner. Responsibilities include parking and retrieving guest vehicles, assisting with luggage, and delivering a professional guest experience.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients (25% of time)
  • Acknowledges and greets guests within five feet using a professional and friendly demeanor; uses guest last names during interactions
  • Uses salutation of the day and welcomes guests to the location; practices proper Towne Park phone etiquette
  • Posts up in designated areas when not completing tasks (10% of time)
  • Parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously; assists guests with bell services and luggage storage (20% of time)
  • Opens all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • Assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and other inquiries; provides information about facility amenities and local attractions (10% of time)
  • Delivers messages, items, and guest amenities as requested; shuttles guests to approved locations
  • Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures; issues and collects claim checks; completes all ticket information accurately (35% of time)
  • Calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when needed

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license for the state of employment (or within commutable distance)
  • One month of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and processes
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence in English
  • Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Basic arithmetic skills, including operations with American currency and understanding of 24-hour/military time
  • Ability to perform parallel parking; manual transmission operation is highly desirable

Pay

Hourly base pay range: $13–$14 per hour plus tips (average $80–$120 per week).

Schedule

2:00 PM – 10:00 PM shifts.

Eligibility depends on job classification, length of employment, and hours worked. Seasonal and temporary roles are not eligible.

Working Conditions

  • Majority of work performed outdoors, including exposure to extreme heat and cold
  • Regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, run, handle objects, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch
  • Vision abilities required: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Lifting requirements: up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly
  • Travel up to 5% may be required
