About the Role

Special Education (SPED) Intervention Assistant position at Valadez Middle School Academy. This is a part-time role supporting students with special needs.

Pay

$24.30 - $29.62 per hour (Range 24).

Schedule

• 9.5 months per year (school calendar)
• 5 days per week (Monday–Friday)
• 3.75 hours per day (8:45 a.m.–12:30 p.m.)
• 204 paid days per work calendar (1001 hours)

Requirements

• Must meet one of the following:
  • Completion of 48 units of college coursework
  • Associate’s degree or higher
  • Passage of Instructional Aide Test (ESSA)
• Testing available through Human Resources; must be obtained before applying.
• Copy of transcript (degree or unofficial transcript showing 48+ units) or ESSA test results required.
• Current resume.
• At least two professional references.

Qualifications

• Open to PYLUSD permanent employees, substitutes, and external applicants.
• Interviews will begin with qualified permanent applicants.
