Vacuum Excavation Technician (CDL)

Starting Pay

Starting pay is $25 - $35 per hour depending on experience.

These are daytime, full-time positions, and some overtime may be required. Training will be provided. No industry experience is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Travel to an assigned work site to perform vacuum excavation.
• Perform various vacuum excavation activities near utilities, including: core drilling, shoveling, backfilling and construction labor.

Requirements

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Previous outdoor experience is a plus.
• Utility and/or construction experience preferred.
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
• Ability to travel locally during the business day; some out-of-area or overnight travel may be expected.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record required; CDL Position requires an A or B CDL.
• Must currently possess or have the ability to possess a DOT medical card.
• Able to pass a drug screen (this is a safety-sensitive position).
• Able to stand and walk for long periods of time on varying types of terrain; bend and stoop; lift heavy items up to 75 lbs.
• Able to distinguish between colors used to identify wiring and mark underground utilities.
• Computer proficiency.
• Able to read, understand, and reference locate tickets, as well as maps and prints; possess basic math skills to calculate distances.
• Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.

Pay

$25 - $35 per hour depending on experience.

Daytime, full-time positions, with some overtime and weekend availability.
