Responsibilities

• Develop, organize, and guide participatory projects and processes for local governments or organizations.
• Create programs to illustrate the importance of participation to potential partners.
• Secure a number of participatory assignments annually.
• Support, coach, and guide sustainable citizen initiatives.
• Contribute to making our community garage a vibrant place for and with the neighborhood.

Requirements

• Knowledge of (citizen) participation.
• Familiarity with the context of municipal governments.
• At least 2 years of experience designing and executing participatory processes.
• Ability to apply a range of methodologies to guide groups and achieve results.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Work as much as possible through co-creation while taking a clear role as a strong and connecting process facilitator.
• Experience guiding groups in tense or polarized situations.
• Ability to handle resistance, conflicting perspectives, and power dynamics.
• Skill in addressing differences without polarizing.
• Build bridges between people, opinions, and organizations.
• Clear communication and confidence in your role.
• Reflect on your own position and actions.
• Take responsibility and show ownership.
• Contribute to the substantive and strategic development of the organization.
• Help build an organization that is continuously evolving.

Skills

• Experience with socio-cultural work (a plus).
• Experience with sustainability projects initiated by citizens (a plus).
• An existing network within relevant sectors or with target groups (a plus).
• Living in one of the 32 municipalities of Oost-Brabant (a plus).
