SINAPSE - Scottish Imaging Network · Glasgow, DE · 1 mo ago
Full-time
About the role
Two Research Associate positions are available on an ERC‑funded project “Dynamic network reconstruction of human perceptual and reward learning via multimodal data fusion” led by Prof Marios Philiastides. The project aims to develop a unified framework for integrating perceptual and reward learning and to understand their shared computational and neurobiological basis.
Responsibilities
- Acquire and analyse simultaneous EEG‑fMRI and eye‑tracking data (imaging‑focused position).
- Implement advanced data‑analytics pipelines for multimodal data fusion and neural characterization (imaging‑focused position).
- Develop computational models to uncover and predict patterns in large multimodal datasets (behavior, EEG‑fMRI, eye‑tracking) (theoretical‑focused position).
- Contribute to the design and programming of experiments.
- Recruit and run participants.
Requirements
- For the imaging‑focused role: experience with EEG‑fMRI acquisition, eye‑tracking, and advanced multimodal data‑analysis techniques.
- For the theoretical‑focused role: strong background in computational modelling, statistical/machine‑learning methods applied to neuroscience data.
- Both roles: ability to design and programme behavioural experiments, recruit and test participants.
Closing date: 2nd October 2020.
