SINAPSE - Scottish Imaging Network · Glasgow, DE · 1 mo ago
Full-time
About the role
A postdoctoral position is available to make a leading contribution to the ERC‑funded project “Dynamic network reconstruction of human perceptual and reward learning via multimodal data fusion”, working with Prof Marios Philiastides. The project aims to develop a unified framework for integrating perceptual and reward learning and to understand the extent to which they share a common computational and neurobiological basis.
Responsibilities
- Develop computational models to uncover and predict patterns in large multimodal datasets (behaviour, simultaneous EEG‑fMRI, eye‑tracking).
- Create a neurally‑informed cognitive modelling framework that uses neural data to constrain parameter estimation.
- Contribute to the design and programming of experiments.
- Recruit and run participants.
Requirements
- Strong theoretical neuroscience background.
- Experience developing and applying computational models to behavioural and neurophysiological data.
- Familiarity with multimodal data acquisition (EEG‑fMRI, eye‑tracking) and analysis.
- Skills in experimental design, participant recruitment, and experimental programming (e.g., MATLAB, Python, PsychoPy, or similar).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
